When it comes to HGTV shows, I’m more of a Jonathan and Drew kind of girl. But I definitely like to at least consider what the other guys on that addicting network are thinking regarding interior design trends. Including David Bromstad from Color Splash. Yes, I sometimes gasp in horror when I see some of the beyond bold decor decisions he makes. And in his recent interview with Urban Bliss Life I was a bit surprised he didn’t point to trends others have noted such as earthy hues, tribal ikat and geometric patterned fabric, gold pieces, animal prints or faux fur. But here are a few takeaways from what he did share.
- Emerald’s still in.
- Poppy red and nectarine are also colors that seem to be sticking around as we head into fall.
- Continue mixing modern with rustic, traditional both within the design of a room, and even a decorative or furniture piece itself.
- Incorporate various textures.
