The light is coming. It is. I can see it. Sure, it’s 14 degrees out and the calendar still reads January. With each day though, we see evidence that those bright, warm and long days of spring and summer are on the way. All good news. But if you’re a sleep-deprived parent that could really benefit from the kiddos sleeping a little longer without interference from the sun’s rays, you may be interested in the project I’m featuring today by Beth and Nick of Sawdust and Embryos.

This lovely, talented couple has two daughters. Twins. Twins who happen to be toddlers. Yeah. They are parents who are well aware of the need for a dim, sleep-friendly children’s bedroom. So recently they created these fresh and practical light-blocking roman shades.

They used OnlineFabricStore’s Premier Prints Vertical Black/White fabric and blackout fabric drapery lining on top of mini blinds, and I’m just loving how they turned out. A perfect addition to an already stylish, pretty and playful bedroom.
